Dentist

Last Friday I went to the dentist having booked an appointment a few days before. I did notice that the seating arrangements had been altered also saw a notice that Bupa were withdrawing their support. As they had only been supporting for less than a year I didn't bother to read the notice.
I had been notified that the Dentist I had seen was leaving so on entering her consulting room I told her I was sad to learn that she was leaving. She told me it was her last day at the Practice so I asked her where she was going and she told me North. I then suggested that she was not going abroad meaning Scotland, My Sister lives in Scotland and I always say she lives abroad. She then let me know she was going to Newcastle. I immediately told her that the first thing she would notice was that the ability to shop for Newcastle is known for having a good selection of shops. She told me that she would go on a shopping spree.
She asked me what was wrong and I told her that a piece of tooth had broken from one of my two remaining teeth. On having a look asked me if I would like her to fill it for me which I said yes.
On completion we talked a little and I wished her every happiness saying that I would miss her for she had done so much for me. Turning to her assistant I told her that I would see her in late March. She looked at me then let me know that the Practise would close in February, adding that most of the assistants had found alternative work.
I had a pleasant surprise from the dentist, she told me that no charge would be made so I asked her why? The answer is very personal but I left and went back to reception and saw a lass who I had got to know saying to her that I had heard the bad news that the Practise was closing. She told me that she had found a position in Louth ans suggested I get registered as soon as I could with a new Dental Practise which I have done.
On Monday I had notification that the Dental Practise was closing in early February next year. According to the T.V. over 7000 are registered and there is no other Dental Practise in the immediate area.
It seems to be that it is becoming increasingly hard to get an appointment with a G.P now a Dental appointment. All I can think of is that thank goodness my time on this earth is getting shorter by the day. More soon.
