Anglian Water

Last Monday morning the representative fro Anglian Water arrived, he was a youngish Man and I asked him where he lived. He told me the other side of Holbeach which I guess is some 50 miles away.
 Anyway he sat down and asked me several questions about my water usage, put the answers in the lap top he had, when the answers had come out he told me that I used little water and was very efficient, to be honest I already knew this.
 HE then went out to his van and bought a few free things in, one was a device to put in my toilet tank. It seemed to consist of a piece of paper but he told me it was a bag which would swell up and would mean I would use less water for each flush of the toilet. He also gave me a different shower head which he did attach for me. All in all I didn't feel too impressed for I had expected a fitting of my toilet system to have a dual flush fitted but that would not happen.
 Anyway he left and I asked him where he had to go next. The reply surprised me for he told me his next call was Horncastle, I guess some 30 miles away. This meant he had travelled at least 80 miles that morning. I wished him well and he went on his way.
 The next morning I checked my inbox and found I had a message from Anglian Water, they gave a summary of the day before meeting and gave the details. To me it was a basic reply stating that to save water I should have water butts. I decided to reply and stated that I was  little disappointed at their response to my requests stating that I had severe prostate problems and used to toilet many times a day and with the block they put in my cistern I would still use the same amount of water if it was solids or liquids. Adding that the young man was very nice and helpful. What happened next was a pleasant surprise.
 The next morning after sending a reply to Anglian Water I had a phone call fro a nice Lady, she immediately informed me that they had received my email so I let her know how sad I was that all I received was a bag which the Plumber inserted into the cistern and that as I used the toilet many times a day I would use the same amount of water whether it was for liquids or solids.
 She said she understood but they did not if a dual system at all and all they provided was this bag which swelled up. She then added that she had looked at my water usage and it was excellent adding that someone living in a property like mine she would expect a person to use at least 4 or 5  times as much.
 I informed her that I also had solar panels fitted and used the washing machine only when I had  a complete full load and that I had done my washing earlier for the sun was shining, adding that I was environment conscious and used the electricity sparingly.
 I then told her what my monthly charge for electricity was and she told me she wished hers monthly charge was anything like mine.
 She talked for a further few minutes and finally she asked me if I would like to be put a a Priority List for bottled water if there was a break in the water supply adding that I would be one of the first to have bottled water delivered to me. I told her that I was be happy to accept her offer,
 We parted on very good terms she added that the conversation would be pinned to my account should anything else come up.
 Over the last few days I have been a little under the weather, it doesn't help either for the Surgery to contact me several times, the outcome is I have been summoned to appear today at the surgery for further blood tests. More soon.
